Article Abstract:

The automotive industry is exerting efforts to develop more environmentally friendly engines, however, many companies still produce and market sport utility vehicles and pickup trucks because of their profitability. General Motors, for instance, is working to create fuel systems that will use ethanol. Environmental efforts made by other companies, such as Toyota and Mercedes, are also presented.

Toyota Canada launched 2 of its cars Echo and Prius against its rival Honda. With a new marketing approach that joined hands with the Canadian Tourism Commission, to promote, driving trips in its vehicles. The target crowd was youngsters and they adopted some innovative marketing methods to appeal to them.
