Gummer gets a taste for design

Article Abstract:

John Selwyn Gummer, chairman of the Tory party's new environmental group, would assess the party's urban design, planning and housing policy. This is not the first time that Gummer has taken an active position on architecture, since he claims that he promoted the importance of good design in the early Nineties, when he was a leading member of John Major's cabinet.

The doubts regarding her appointment as the chairperson, whether she will be able to develop the Thames Gateway or is she suited for this position, are discussed.
