HALDIA PETRO MULLS NAPHTHA SOURCING DEAL WITH TCG

Article Abstract:

Haldia Petrochemical Ltd (HPL) is likely to enter into a captive naphtha sourcing arrangement with 9 million tonnes TCG Refinery coming up at Haldia. It has already entered into a sourcing arrangement with the Haldia Refinery of Indian Oil Corporation for 400,000 tonnes of naphtha feedstock which will satisfy about a third of its total requirement of about 1.2-1.4 million tonnes at optimal capacity utilisation. The TCG Refinery plans to utilise about 50 percent of its capacity to refine naphtha to cater to HPL's requirement. (khr)

TIDCO SCOUTS FOR JV PARTNER FOR Rs7,000 CR NAPHTHA PLANT

Article Abstract:

The Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (Tidco) plans to set up a naphtha cracker plant near Chennai. The plant will have a capacity of 5.5 lakh tonnes per annum Tidco is seeking a joint venture partner for the Rs7,000 crore project. Tidco is likely to hold 11 percent stake in the project. The plant will manufacture ethylene, poly-ethylene and poly-propylene as downstream products. The plant will be located at the petrochem park being set up by Tidco at Ennore. (gs)
