HONG KONG: SMARTECH ACQUIRES SKY DATAMANN

Article Abstract:

Analysts are not optimistic about SmarTech Digital Manufacturing Holding's acquisition of Sky Datamann International since the acquisition of Sky Datamann would shift SmarTech's main business. SmarTech is a mould and plastic product manufacturer while Sky Datamann provides data centre service. SmarTech hopes the acquisition of Sky Datamann would enhance and expand its Internet application and e-commerce ability. Sky Datamann reported a loss of HK$ 12.8mn in the nine months to December 2000.

Denmark: Grey Direct & Interactive has closed down

Article Abstract:

The Danish company Grey Direct & Interactive, Arhus, has closed down as a consequence of the weakening of the market for content management of web pages. The company has had 35 employees and was the result of a merger between Danish internet company M3 Multimedia Management and the Danish subsidiary of Grey, the Australian advertising agency.
