KUBOTA, HPCL IN `CARE FOR AIR' PACT

Article Abstract:

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) has signed a care for air pact with Kubota, Japan. As per the pact HPCL will supply clean fuel to buyers of Kubota products. A buyer of Kubota diesel generator will receive Rs30,000 worth HPCL's products free of cost. The generators in the 3kva-23kva range are priced between Rs1 lakh-Rs6 lakh. The generators will be exported to India by Marubeni Corporation. (ag)

The Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) intend to form a strategic alliance for taking up greenfield projects in the refinery/pipeline sectors. They may opt for equity swaps or buy each other's equity through issue. They may jointly participate in the Bina and Bhatinda refinery and the Bina-Kanpur and the Kandla-Bhatinda pipeline projects.
