The rights-of-way maps published by the UK government in Nov 2001 showing where hikers and ramblers have a right to roam prove that New Labour has not moved away from its socialist roots altogether. Access to the countryside has long been a firmly-held Socialist cause in the UK.

No foul water, no waterfowl

Article Abstract:

There are fears that birds on the UK shoreline could be threatened by efforts to clean up sewage discharges into coastal waters. It is believed that many birds, including the Norwegian purple sandpiper live off sewage.
