How a lifted embargo would help China

The Chinese military and European defense contractors yearn for lifting of 15-year-old embargo on European weapons sales to China. The advantages of a lifted embargo for China in accessing the latest technologies in the military equipment and the increased competition among European arms makers in weapons sales are analyzed.

Keep the arms embargo on China

Article Abstract:

The lifting of the arms embargo by the European Union on China before the Chinese government has improved its human rights record to an acceptable level, which is sending wrong messages to neighboring countries. The lifting of the arms embargo poses a threat to the peace, order and prosperity to countries like Taiwan.
