How to manage change: operations management

Article Abstract:

Six Asian companies have received Asian Management Awards in the category of operations management. They are Theme International Holdings of Hong Kong, Blue Bird Group of Indonesia, Andersen Consulting of Malaysia, Social Security System of the Philippines, Andersen Consulting of Singapore, and Asia Fiber of Thailand. Some of these companies have worked to improve operations through employee participation while the others are focused on enhancing customer service.

Article Abstract:

Four Asian companies won Asian Management Awards in the category of information-technology management. They are Cellular Communications Network of Malaysia, Hongkong Telecom, Eastern Telecommunications of the Philippines, and DHL International of Singapore. Cellular Communications can activate phones within 15 minutes of request. HongKong Telecom, DHL International and Eastern Telecommunications have developed systems to improve customer service.
