Hungry for justice: scientific fraud

Article Abstract:

Ned Feder and Walter Stewart were dismissed by the National Institutes of Health, allegedly due to overzealous investigation of scientific and other fraud. To protest, Stewart went on a 33-day hunger strike. He was forced to end his strike but he and Feder are still trying to get there jobs back.

Article Abstract:

Biocode, a small British firm, is marketing an anti-counterfeiting identifier made with monoclonal antibodies. The identifier sticks to a selected simple chemical in the item to be protected. Biocode now markets 30 such chemical-antibody pairs.

Cutting out the middle man: fertility fraud

Article Abstract:

Cecil Johnson is accused of using his own sperm to impregnate as many as 75 women artificially inseminated at his fertility clinic. He is charged with fraud for misrepresenting his sperm as the sperm of others.
