Lufthansa faces one-day strike by pilots today

Lufthansa pilots are planning a one-day strike on May 10, 2001 after leaving wage negotiations. The Vereinigung Cockpit pilots union have promised to conduct one-day strikes for four Thursdays until a deal is reached.

Lufthansa and pilots agree to resume wage negotiations

Article Abstract:

The management of Lufthansa AG has agreed to restart wage negotiations with its pilots union. The pilots conducted a walkout on May 4, 2001 that lasted 12 hours. More than 300 flights were cancelled as a result.

Iberia pilots' strike causes cancellation of 30% of flights

Iberia cancelled almost 30% of its flights as a result of a pilots' strike. The strike is the first of several planned pilot walkouts during the busy 2001 summer season.
