Iceland's Taiwanese stern trawling trio!

Article Abstract:

Iceland based fishing vessel owners have ordered three new vessels from Ching Fu Shipbuilding Co. Ltd. in Taiwan. The details of the contract were revealed at the Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition that was held from September 7 to 9, 2005. Norway based Triplex, a company manufacturing stackers for fishing vessels achieved record sales at the said exhibition. Other exhibits at the exhibition are also discussed.

Spain's 'Rolls-Royce' ship for Scotland

Rolls-Royce Marine's ship technology department Nordvestconsult designs a 65 metre pelagic trawler Challenge for the Scotland's Fishing Co. Spanish builder Astilleros Zamakona has built the ship for the company for catching mackerel, herring and blue whiting. The designing and construction process and the features of the ship are described.
