Indonesian Pres Suharto has ruled that country for 30 years, and at the age of 75, he should be paving the way for a democratic transition. Instead, he has forced the resignation of opposition leader Megawati Sukarnoputri and clamped down on dissent, which could hurt the region's stability and growth.
