Implementation of yield management practices in service organizations: empirical findings from a major hotel group

Article Abstract:

Developing and implementing a centralized yield management project is contextually challenging and difficult. Major problems and difficulties have resulted from the managementEs organizational structure and culture, in addition to high labor turnover, poor HRM practices and other factors have a significant impact on the implementation of a yield practices. It is necessary to view yield implementation from the perspectives of strategic management and change management fields.

The role of social conventions in the diffusion of open source software: Implications for service industries

Article Abstract:

The importance of social conventions and social herding behavior in the growth of open source software is discussed. It is concluded that social conventions legitimize value and provide identification in the global online community and have important implications for service industries in general.
