Article Abstract:

The national Audit office of United Kingdom decided to make use of Andrew Barraclough, the head of public and institutional architecture at HOK International's London office, and co-opt him on to design review-style committee it is founding to assess design in Private Finance Initiative (PFI)-build schools. The debate on the effectiveness of PFI continues in the political circles, but Barraclough strongly believes that there are many things that architects can and should learn from working within PFI.

Sexual equality 'a generation off'

Article Abstract:

To achieve real equality in architecture and remove the deep-rooted problems of sexism in architecture is discussed. The RIBA study insisted the institute to tackle the problems in architectural education.
