Article Abstract:

Much of the intelligentsia of Kosovo, Yugoslavia, has moved to Tetovo, Macedonia. Many Ethnic Albanians from Macedonia, and others from Kosovo criticize this intelligentsia for having overestimated the ability of the Kosovo Liberation Army to resist Serbia. The intelligentsia is also criticized for challenging Serbia by declaring nominal independence, without the ability to set up a defense against Serbia. Meanwhile, Macedonia is concerned about the impact of large numbers of refugees entering the country from Kosovo.
