Intelligent systems for engineering design and configuration problems

Article Abstract:

Hybrid type intelligent systems can enrich existing design and configuration support systems with more intelligent abilities for solving engineering design and configuration problems. The integration of multi-criteria decision making and fuzzy logic with knowledge-based methods using the syntax of KONWERK can be utilized for the preliminary design of future space launch systems. Furthermore, KONWERK can be utilized to represent imprecise linguistic knowledge about design objects.

A concept of equilibrium for a game under uncertainty

Article Abstract:

The concept of ZS-equilibrium was presented which can be used for the n-person game under uncertainty. The concept, which retains the most vital properties of the NS-equilibrium, was proven to be always Pareto optimal. Application of the concept reveals that there are games in which the NS-equilibrium does not exist while the ZS-equilibrium exists. An NS-equilibrium is considered a ZS-equilibrium if the former is Pareto optimal for the players.

On the efficacy of modeling multi-attribute decision problems using AHP and Sinarchy

Article Abstract:

Research is presented concerning the criticisms which were raised in the 1980s about the correct use of the multi-attribute decision-making methodology named AHP. Sinarchy and tradeoffs are discussed.
