Britain prevents Interbrew purchase of Bass Beer assets

Interbrew SA's planned acquisition of Bass PLC's brewing operations has been blocked by regulators in Great Britain. Regulators believe that the 3.6 billion euros deal would be detrimental to competition in the beer distribution market.
