Germany's Endress+Hauser has restructured its subsidiary Whessoe Varec to create Endress+Hauser Systems and Gauging. The objective for the move is to create a new inventory management solutions organization. The new firm will provide automated systems to measure fuel flow for applications that include airport fuels management. Its portfolio includes radar, float, servo and hydrostatic tank instrumentation from its own product range.

MAFI of Germany is developing AC electric tractors which include the MTE 3/30 AC and the smaller MTE 2/10 AC. The MTE 3/30 AC can tow trailers weighing up to 30 tons. It is powered by a 15.6kW AC engine. Its features include hydraulic steering, reverse inching facility for connecting the load, energy regeneration brakes and 750Ah battery capacity. The MTE 2/10 AC is suitable for towing trailers weighing up to 10 tons.
