Investor incentives may be on the horizon for Leader
Article Abstract:
Cable manufacturer Leader Universal Holdings may return to its former stature in Malaysia's stock market as a viable option, with the company's net profits projected increase of 40% for 1997. Leader lost its stellar status when company shares fell 16% in 1996. Poor performance was due to low orders by the Leader's main customers, Tenaga Nasional and Telekom Malaysia. Leader's order book for 1997 has been filled by as much as 500 mil ringgit in cable orders, which could result in a revenue increase of 30% and a net profit increase of 20%.

Taking stock
Article Abstract:
Analysts claim that investing in Asian commercial property markets may not be profitable these days as a result of the low investment growth in the region. Further, they believe that countries such as Malaysia will struggle to achieve improved investment gains due to oversupply of properties in the market. Investors who are dedicated in venturing in Asian markets must be able observe proper timing so as not to be affected by the market's cyclical fluctuations.
