ALUMINIUM PRODUCTION DOWN 3%

Article Abstract:

India's production of aluminium has fallen by 3 percent to 396,612 tonnes during April-December 1998 against 409,008 tonnes during April-December 1997. Nalco produced 99,523 tonnes in the first nine months of 1998-99 against 146,702 tonnes in the first nine months of 1997-98, Hindustan Aluminium Company produced 178,377 tonnes against 148,857 tonnes while Bharat Aluminium Company produced 67,721 tonnes and Indal produced 31,461 tonnes. JAYAKRISHNA ALUMINIUM TIES UP WITH WERNER

Article Abstract:

Jayakrishna Aluminium Ltd, a manufacturer and exporter of aluminium extrusions, has entered into an alliance with Werner Ladder Co of the US to produce the Werner range of ladders and climbing systems in India. The company will introduce FRP ladders, which have an advantage of non-conductive properties, in the Indian market. It is establishing a nation-wide distribution network to enter every major town in the country. (khr)
