SHCIL, ANDHRA BANK TIE UP TO LAUNCH DEPOSITORY SERVICES

Article Abstract:

The Stock Holding Corporation of India Limited (SHCIL) has tied up with the Andhra Bank (AB) to launch world class depository services to small investors at the lowest possible cost. The services will be provided through AB's 50 branches in Andhra Pradesh. Initially, these services will be launched in the AB branches in Hyderabad and later extended throughout Andhra Pradesh. Loan facility will also be extended to investors against de-materialised securities. (gsh)

THOMAS COOK IN DEAL WITH DISCOVERY FOR TV ADVERTISING

Article Abstract:

Thomas Cook, an international travel conglomerate and forex dealer, has signed a deal with Discovery Communications India for advertising through television in the country. Discovery channel will air 5-second spots of Thomas Cook advertisements, up to 10 times a day, from January 1, 1999 till September 1999. Thomas Cook has chosen the Discovery Channel to air its advertisements because of its rising appeal as a family-viewed channel. (khr)
