Article Abstract:

South Korea's over reliance on China is considered to pose problems in the long run, hence Korean manufacturers are warned ensure their stability in the long run. Korea's exports to China was around twenty percent of what it exported worldwide, but technocrats observe the need for differentiating the economy from the Chinese economy and many advocate that the government tilt the economy in favor of finance, tourism and retailing, if the economy has to survive.

Korea's biggest bank, Kookmin that was scalded in the Asian financial crisis of 1998 has set itself ambitious targets for growth and wants to join the league of the largest banks in the world by year 2006. Analysts are positive with the steps adopted by the bank such as cutting asset growth while it cleaned up its debt, and its approach towards the customer by starting mobile banking.

South Korea's new high-speed train KTX, which runs at 308 kilometers per hour, is ready to roll between Seoul and Pusan. Engineers are working at the factory of Uiwang city to launch the new other high-speed rail dreams of their own.
