Some fear that Labour leader Tony Blair could veer to the political left if elected prime minister in May 1997, and he is almost certain to be elected. He is likely to stay on a moderate course, however. Crime and other topics are discussed.

It is far too soon to tell what kind of prime minister Tony Blair will be even though his first 100 days in office ended on Aug 9, 1997. However, minor problems, such as media manipulation and perpetual campaigning, are worrisome.
