Landscaping for a graden of rememberance

Article Abstract:

Architects, John Pardey and Ronald Yee have won a competition for the landscaping of part of the Kensal Green cemetery, London, England. Kensal Green was establlished in 1832 and was arranged on classical lines. Pardey and Yee's design for the last two acres of the site reflects this in its geometric pattern. The designers have, however, rejected the traditional idea of rows of tombstones in favour of a series of 'burial courts'. Additional features include a sunken garden, statues and a cenotaph.

Article Abstract:

Architects seeking airport work may be faced with unforeseen requirements and it can be difficult to determine the totality of an airport's development. On securing work, the response by the architect needs to be flexible and rapid as it is a fast changing environment. However, airports can offer high specification projects and there is huge growth predicted by all UK airports.
