Legal matters: Uncovering a provision to make the adjudicator's decision final

Article Abstract:

Specifics of the case "Ferson Contractors v. Levolux AT" are discussed. A Court of Appeal decision declared that main contractor Ferson wrongfully withheld money and John Redmond, the adjudicator, determined that subcontractor Levolux could obtain nearly all money claimed. The Housing Grants Act includes a provision that allows an adjudicator's decision to be final.

London office in 1 million pounds legal row

Article Abstract:

A massive High Court battle, worth over 1 million pounds, broke out between London based practice Stock Woolstencroft and a prominent social housing association. Stock Woolstencroft was barred from commenting on the case, apart from emphasizing that the practice will rigorously defend itself.
