Letting yuan float would pose risks

A floatation of the Chinese yuan currency could expose the weaknesses in China's financial system. Officials in Europe and in the U.S. have been calling for a floatation of the yuan. However, this could cause the currency to spiral downward.

Germany opposes free-floating yuan

Article Abstract:

Germany has expressed its disapproval of a full free floatation of the Chinese yuan currency. Germany said that Europe must not be given the burden of dealing with Asian currency adjustments.
