Limbering up for Demolition?

Article Abstract:

The London Development Authority (LDA) intends to re-develop the Grade II* listed National Sports Centre at Crystal Palace by demolishing the existing structure and constructing a new stadium. Current listing rules do not permit demolition of buildings of historical and architectural merit and LDA will have a lot of convincing to do to make the planners, public and conservation lobby to go ahead with the proposal.

Planning for the future

Article Abstract:

The US government has forwarded another package of reforms for the planning process, aiming at making Sustainable Communities Plan very easy to understand. The new proposals would address the relationship between property markets and government house-building targets while they also aim to allow important decisions over several developments.
