Linde and Aga merge

Article Abstract:

Linde (Germany) and Aga Gas (Sweden), industrial gas producers, have merged. A new company called Linde Gas (LG) has been set up. LG has 1.5 mil consumers in 50 countries. The merger is also connected with the Czech market, where both the companies had a total of 43,000 consumers before the merger. Linde Technoplyn (Czech Republic) had a 37% share on the Czech industrial gas market and Aga a 14% share. The Czech market is heading for an increase in liquid gas consumption from reservoirs compared to the former transport of gas in bottles. The structure of ordered industrial gases is being developed too.

Resin d'etre

Article Abstract:

There is a general belief that most epoxy resin adhesives are dangerous and cause dermatitis. There are many available which are harmless. New health and safety regulations will require all formulators to supply technical data to users. Epoxy resin is made up of resin and hardner; it is the hardner which can cause dermatitis. This is caused through the absorption of the vapours through the skin. A reduction in vapour pressure can make the substance safe to handle. The formation of an 'adduct' reduces the viscosity and vapour pressure.

No ESOP Fable

Article Abstract:

Employee Stock Option Plans (ESOPs) are popular. ESOPs provide cheap financing for business. At the same time they provide workers with potential capital gains. Politically ESOPs are very popular since employees become part-owners of their companies. Legislation is now pending to provide tax breaks to companies who adopt ESOP programs.
