Asian-focused funds remain reluctant to invest in small, high-growth companies due to currency risk and political instability in the region. High performance of investments in companies like Lotte Chilsung Beverages Co., Guangdong Electric Power Development Co. and TechTronic Industries Co. provide occasional success for fund managers, but most are still attracted to the ease of trading stocks in larger, proven companies.
