MODICORP'S CORDLESS TO DOUBLE AS CELLULAR PHONE

Modi Telstra, a joint venture between Modi Corp and Telstra of Australia, will soon launch a cordless phone that can also work as a cellular phone in the domestic markets. The phone as the facility to switch from cellular to fixed mode when operated within cordless range of fixed phone. The dual mode phone called Personal Communicator is likely to be offered in Calcutta and Karnataka where Modi Corp is the cellular service provider. (khr)
