DELTMAL SHOES SET TO START PRODUCTION IN OCTOBER
Article Abstract:
Deltmal Safety Shoes Ltd (DSSL), a 50:50 joint venture between Mallcom India Ltd of Calcutta and Delta Plus Group (DPG) of France, will start commercial production of polyurethane injected industrial safety shoes from October 1998. The company has set up its production unit at the Falta Export Processing Zone. DPG is to buy-back the entire output for marketing in the European Union. DSSL, with an installed capacity of 3 lakh pairs per annum, has projected export earnings of Rs12 crore in the first year of operations. (khr)
