Article Abstract:

The United Nations General Assembly is attempting to fashion a solution by holding a Special Session to discuss the problem of drugs in global terms. The plan would spread awareness of drugs as a global issue and strengthen the role of the UN to take an active and decisive role in controling the flow of drugs between nations.

Article Abstract:

An HIV-positive man who pays $19,000 a year for drugs was told by Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield that his health insurance would be cancelled. Joining an HMO would mean added expense for his non-HMO doctor. Millions are spent on research and marketing of drugs too high for AIDS patients not covered by insurance.
