Magnum Parket wants to go the US

Article Abstract:

Magnum Parket (MP) (Vyskov, Czech Republic), parquet firm, plans to export to the US after the entrance of US capital in 2000. The investment group Winslow Partners (WP) (US) entered MP through the fund Charles Investment Partners (US) at the beginning of 2001. The entrance of WP to MP means the speeding up of the preparation of the construction of a plant, which has been planned by MP since the autumn of 2000. The plant, which should have 300 employees, should be built in Olomouc or Brno, Czech Republic. It should be commissioned at the end of 2002. The plant will enable MP to meet the increasing demand. MP exports 90% of its production, mainly to Germany, Spain, France and Ireland. The company saw proceeds of CEK 576 mil in 2000. Its 2000 preliminary economic result is CEK 84 mil.

Exbio concentrates on exports

Article Abstract:

Exbio (Prague, Czech Republic), monoclonal antibodies producer and exporter, concentrates on exports because the Czech market is too small. The firm exports 80% of its production to the US and Western Europe. It produces 150 types of monoclonal antibodies intended exclusively for further scientific research. The products include antibodies against human CD antigenes, enzymes, virus antibodies and immunoglobilines. Exbio has eight emloyees and in 2000 it saw a turnover of CEK 8 mil. It produces monoclonal antibodies on equipment worth about CEK 3 mil.

Masokombinat Martinov starts exports to Germany

Article Abstract:

Masokombinat Martinov (MM) (Ostrava, Czech Republic), meat processor, will export sausage worth CEK 1.5 mil to Germany in May 2001. The volume of the firm's exports to Germany should increase to CEK 4 mil in Jun 2001. Then, this export volume should be realized regularly every month. MM started its exports to Germany through Sena (Czech Republic) in May 2001. Sena has been financing the purchase of raw materials and the sales of completed products at MM since Nov 2000. MM has been under bankruptcy proceedings since Dec 2000.
