Making London sustainable

Article Abstract:

London, England, needs to move towards becoming environmentally and socially sustainable if it is to continue to lead the world into the twenty-first century. Approximately half of the capital's energy consumption could be saved if some thought were to be put into matters such as waste management and energy consumption. Many waterways are contaminated with sewerage, fertiliser and other waste products, although projects to counteract the problem are not being managed in the most efficient and environmentally friendly way.

NY, London, Paris...Baghdad

Article Abstract:

A new interpretation of urban conflict is explored. It is stated that conflict is a logical expression of a social process, and it is important to understand that people in a civil war context may see violence as a solution, not a problem.
