Man hedge fund isn't on block

Article Abstract:

Responding to the increased popularity of hedge funds among investors, investment banks have begun acquiring hedge fund companies to attract customers. Man Group PLC, the largest publicly traded hedge fund company in the world, has been seen as a likely acquisition target. Nevertheless, the company says it has no plans to sell, nor has it been approached by any buyers.

Schwab will cut 20% of work force at European unit
