Management and governance in Dutch SMEs

Article Abstract:

A study examining the composition of the top management team of small and medium-sized enterprises in Netherlands is presented. The study also analyzes the decision making and other functions of these firms. It is observed that most of the chief executive officers of SME's have limited knowledge on governance aspects.

Stimulating ethical decision-making in a business context: effects of ethical and professional codes

Article Abstract:

The effects of ethical and professional codes in the Dutch management consulting business are examined. Ethical codes have a negative impact on individual decision-making while professional codes indirectly contribute to the ethical climate of consulting organizations.

Knowledge acquisition and learning in Dutch and Belgian SMEs: the role of strategic alliances

Article Abstract:

The role of knowledge-sharing alliances of small and medium-sized enterprises for long-term survival is analyzed. The reasons for non-cooperation for such strategic alliances among SMEs are mentioned. Dutch and Belgian enterprises are considered for the study.
