M&M TO ENTER THREE-WHEELER SEGMENT

Mahindra and Mahindra has plans to launch its first three-wheeler in the next 8-10 months. The launch of the diesel-driven, eight seater will mark the company's entry into the Rs1000 crore three- wheeler market. The company intends to produce the vehicle at its Zaheerabad unit, with an initial production capacity of 1000 to 2000 vehicles per month. The vehicle is expected to be priced lower than the Mini-door model of Bajaj Tempo, which costs Rs97,500. (khr)
