Carat's Toronto move

Article Abstract:

Carat has acquired David Cairns & Company in Toronto, Canada, for an undisclosed amount. The deal will consolidate Carat's presence in North America with its Carat Strategem unit in Montreal, Quebec. The deal will increase Carat's billings to $85 million in Canada and allow the entity to serve international firms in Canada. David Cairns & Company will be renamed Carat Cairns but terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The advertising industry is expected to significantly benefit from the technological advances in the market such as Interactive television and the Internet and telephone service using cable TV lines. New communications technologies enable enhanced advertising such as allowing viewers to receive a special web page without the need to change channels, and by using banner advertising.
