Matsushita needs a cleanup

Article Abstract:

Matsushita Investment & Development Inc. is attempting to reduce its first ever debt of more than $3 billion in bad real estate investments. The Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., which owns 31 percent of the company, is helping Matsushita Investment to gain its footing. Toru Doi has been installed as the new president of Matsushita Investment, and Keumaru Oguna will act as senior managing director.
