Negotiations were made between Japan and Mexico for free-trade pact and the United States remained in the back door. This boosts the trade between Japan and Mexico, and the products made at Japanese-owned factories in Mexico can also be sold tariff-free in the U.S. under the terms of the U.S.-Mexico pact.
