Mitas buys motorcycle tyre manufacturing

Mitas (Prague, Czech Republic), tyre company, is buying complete tyre manufacturing from Trelleborg (Sweden). A part of the contract is production equipment including sketching, taking over trade contacts and the licence for the Trelleborg trade mark in the range of motorcycle tyres. The transaction will enrich Mitas's sports motorcycle tyre production with 57 models of tyres with 15 new designs, the majority being represented by motocross tyres. By 2002-2003 Mitas plans to raise its production by about a third.

Foxconn will expand its production in Pardubice
Article Abstract:
Foxconn CZ (Pardubice, Czech Republic), computer manufacturer, will build a new computer production hall at its plant in Pardubice in 2001. The costs on the project will amount to about USD 50 mil. The construction is connected with the plan of Foxconn (Taiwan) to expand the production in Pardubice. Foxconn started the production through its firm Foxconn CZ in the middle of 2000.

Foxconn buys HTT Tesla
Article Abstract:
HTT Tesla (Pardubice, Czech Republic), electronic firm, was acquired by Foxconn (Taiwan) in May 2000. Foxconn, which is a subsidiary of the communication equipment manufacturer Foscon (Taiwan), paid 102 mil Kc for HTT Tesla. Foxconn plans to invest over 40 mil USD in computer and mobile telephone production in Pardubice during 2000-2003.
