Multilateration gains ground

Article Abstract:

Nav Canada has purchased a Multistatic Dependent Surveillance multilateration system and a multi-sensor data processor from Sensis Corp. The equipment would be installed at Toronto's Lester B Pearson International Airport. Nav Canada will use the systems for assessing the effectiveness of precision multilateration as an enhancement to ASDE and as an alternative to terminal surveillance radars. The architecture to be used at Lester B Pearson is similar to other Sensis systems installed in US airports.
