A rolling horizon planning framework in inventory control results to nervousness in the planning system due to instability of order release decisions in successive planning cycles. Nervousness is influenced by the choice of a specific control rule, as shown in both setup and quantity stability. The lot size determining parameter or the cycle length solely has a function.
