Third-quarter net profit for Finnish telecommunications equipment company Nokia Corp. rose 85% to reach 1.56 bil euro, driven primarily by volume sales growth and real estate sales. The firm's global device market share rose to 39%, with sales increasing by 28%.

First-quarter net profit for telecommunications equipment firm Nokia Corp. dropped 7%, primarily due to lower phone sales prices and higher charges. Shares however are up 3.5% to 18.16 euro.
