Triton Naval Architects of Cape Town is helping South AfricaEs fishing fleet to upgrade as per the regulations of stability since the last 15 years. As the quotas are divided into smaller shares, smaller boats are ideal for the situation. Necessary changes are made to the vessels by the company so as to suit the requirements of the fishermen.

Venezuela updates tuna fleet - third ship at Chilean yard

Article Abstract:

Asmar, Chile's naval shipyard has undertaken remodeling and renovation services for Venezuela's largest tuna fleet operated by Atunfalca. Curimagua was the third tuna seiner operated by Atunfalca that was recently remodeled by Asmar. The details of the remodeling works implemented by Asmar are presented.

Seabird and whale problems solved as: toothfish liner switches to pots

Article Abstract:

South Princess, a longliner operating in South African waters has been modified for pot fishing. The vessel is now able to catch larger toothfish. The whales are no longer able to snatch away some of its catch and the seabird problem too is resolved. The details of alterations are described.
