Article Abstract:

The Italian savoury biscuits sector is predicted to record volume growth of 16.7% from 1993 to 1997. This will result to an increase in volume share of 1.5 percentage points to 17.1% in 2002. Likewise, the volume of sweet biscuits is forecasted to hike up by 5.6% in the above-mentioned period. On the other hand, the volume share of bread substitutes is forecasted to decline by 0.9 percentage points between 1993 and 1997.
