Outsourcing: the latest trend in Nordic boardrooms

Article Abstract:

Scandinavian companies are increasingly opting for outsourcing. The option offers a solution for the major challenges of reducing costs, improving cash flow and introducing innovations whilst remaining competitive. It allows companies to concentrate on their core activities, to have flexible resources and to remain at the forefront of technology without investing in research and development for all areas of manufacture. The information technology sector was the first to introduce outsourcing but other Scandinavian companies which use the practice include Saab and Ericsson.
