Favourable economic conditions and positive investor attitudes are contributing to a steady growth of capital investment activities in the Northwest of England. Business organisations looking for financial backing will continue to find a wide range of funding opportunities during 1997. About 500 million pounds sterling of private funds will be invested into the reconstruction of Manchester city centre during 1997. Other aspects of corporate finance are discussed.
