BoB RECORDS Rs228-CR NET PROFIT

Bank of Baroda has declared a net profit of Rs228 crore in the first half of 1998-99. Its operating profit has increased by 10.76 percent to Rs490.21 crore against Rs442.60 crore in the first half of 1997-98. It has increased its advances to Rs20,010 crore and deposits to Rs41,581 crore in the first half of 1998- 99. (khr)

IDBI NET PROFIT DECLINES BY 11.6%

The Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) recorded 11.6 percent fall in its net profit at Rs303 crore in the quarter ended December 1998 (Rs343 crore in the quarter ended September 1998). Its loan sanctions were Rs7,532 crore (Rs6,634 crore). Its disbursements were Rs2,743 crore (Rs4,068 crore). (um) (kvr)
