Papering over the cracks

Article Abstract:

The U.S. and South Korean governments are working to smooth out differences between the two countries especially with regards to North Korea. The U.S. would like nothing better than to see the North Korean government collapse. The South Korean government has taken a different approach, including granting concessions to the North, in hope that North Korea's government would not collapse. If that were to happen, the Korean peninsula could destabilize.
